PINECONE FIRE STARTERS SPECIFICATION SHEET

GOODS OF THE WOODS began simply in the woods of Northern California in 1936 with one product, magical color cones, that were made from pine cones that fall to the ground from pine trees.  We now make many additional products but the common theme remains the use of natural items to bring pleasure to those who use wood burning fireplaces and campfires.  Some things have changed over the years, including relocation to Tennessee in 1991 but the thing that has remained constant is the pure simple enjoyment of making products that people buy because they make their homes more enjoyable.  Let me discuss in some detail each of the products we offer.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A unique firestarter consisting of a loblolly pinecone and a wick set into a wax base shaped like a muffin.  The wax bases are produced in two colors, burgundy and green.  The wax base is slightly scented.  Proudly made in the USA  using all natural items:  pine cones, wax, cotton wicks and sawdust.

Use to start your wood fire, simply place one or two firestarters into the center and at the bottom of the stack of logs and light the wick.  The firestarter takes a few minutes to reach full burn and will burn for up to 30 minutes assuring the fire is well started.  These starters do not produce color effects as do our color cones.  Pinecone firestarters should only be used to start wood fires in wood burning fireplaces, fire pits and campfires.  They should not be used in gas log fireplaces and they should not be used to start cooking fires.
