GOODS OF THE WOODS began simply in the woods of Northern California in 1936 with one product, magical color cones, that were made from pine cones that fall to the ground from pine trees. We now make many additional products but the common theme remains the use of natural items to bring pleasure to those who use wood burning fireplaces and campfires. Some things have changed over the years, including relocation to Tennessee in 1991 but the thing that has remained constant is the pure simple enjoyment of making products that people buy because they make their homes more enjoyable. Let me discuss in some detail each of the products we offer.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Scented cones are natural loblolly pine cones that are sprayed with a seasonal scent and they are intended to be displayed on the hearth for the pleasant aroma and also the ambiance of the forest. The two scents are cinnamon and woodland pine. They can be tossed into the wood fire when the aroma has faded.
Potpourri is a mixture of natural botanicals that are treated with a cinnamon scent and are meant to be used in potpourri dishes around the home. The products include cinnamon sticks, greenery, red berries, nuts and small pine cones.
